irst of all, you’re going to want [Python installed](https://www.python.org/downloads/) on your machine. You don’t _need_ it unless you truly don’t have enough room on your machine for any one LLM you want to install, but, like I said, these things are _large_, and I certainly didn’t have enough room.  

Also, if you’re on Linux, go ahead and update your apt repositories (it never hurts):

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get upgrade

```
